VAS at Borders Art Fair

As a newly voted Professional Member of Visual Arts Scotland, I was pleased to have been invited to exhibit at the Borders Art Fair.

Visual Arts Scotland had a stand at the fair showing a selected number of member artists for the third year running.

It was a huge success drawing thousands of visitors over the weekend.

Launching of Shop 2024

Launching of Shop 2024

Excited to welcome everyone to peruse my Shop Page

I am now selling a selection of art works through my personal website.

Opening with the ‘Scottish Grasses’ Series, a collection of small affordable works.

All art works in the Scottish Grasses series are handmade monotype (one off) collograph prints. Collography is a technique which uses multiple textural materials on a base plate. This creates a deep intaglio effect of depth.

The Scottish Grasses series was created during the lockdown phase of Covid and is a tribute to nature, the earth we walk upon and the shear gratitude of breathing fresh air when we can. All the things we need to survive, which many of us take for granted until it’s taken from us.

In August of 2024 I curated the first Scottish Seed Sisters exhibition at Edinburgh Central library, Dept of Art and Design.

Seed Sisters is an international artist collective comprised originally of five women artist (of which I am one) working in a diverse range of mixed media materials, collaborating and connecting across time zones and continents. The group name is inspired by the potential of seeds to grow, flourish and develop.

To date SeedSisters have exhibited in Japan, America, Britain and France.
